Hi and thank you for checking out my blog. Whether you’re here on purpose or you clicked here by mistake, thanks for hanging around long enough to see this.
Who Am I?
My name is Julie B. Campbell. I’m a Canadian author from Ontario. I won’t get into my bio too much here since…well, there’s a bio page already available on this site. If you’re interested in learning about me, I hope you’ll check that out too.
I plan to use this blog to share my thoughts – in the rare instances that I have some worth sharing – and as a place to tuck the book and audiobook reviews I’ve wanted to start writing for some time now.
Why Audiobook Reviews?
I read books. I love books. But as a writer, I’m staring at words all the live-long day. I adore my job, but my eyes get to the point that they need a rest. Particularly when you factor my occasional weekend binge-watching habit into account.

As a result, to keep up with my love of books, I’ve become quite addicted to listening to them. I’m as big a fan of certain narrators as I am of certain authors. Ray Porter, Wil Wheaton, Finty Williams, and Shohreh Aghdashloo are easy favourites, among others.
While I do plan to write reviews for any book I read, whether it’s with my eyes or my ears, the odds are that the vast majority of the book reviews I add here will be based on the audiobooks, since I go through three or four times more of them than I do the print copies.
What Will I Blog About?
To be honest, I don’t exactly know yet. I guess I’ll write about whatever tickles my fancy. I’ll dig into stuff about being a writer and an author. I’ll bring up other things that seem to fit here or that I feel like sharing. If there’s something specific you’d like me to talk about, please feel free to comment. I’ll be sure to read them all.
You can also find me on social media, where I’m quite active, so I welcome you to follow me there as well.
